Who Can Join

Three Types Of Membership

Membership of FPLC is open to public listed companies incorporated in Malaysia, as well as to individuals and distinguished figures who contribute to the advancement of the Malaysian capital market.

Ordinary Membership

For Public Listed Companies

Open to any company listed on Bursa Malaysia. Ordinary Members hold full voting rights and may be nominated to serve on the FPLC Council.

Eligibility criteria

  • Incorporated in Malaysia and listed on the Main Market or ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia
  • In good standing with Bursa Malaysia and the Securities Commission
  • Represented by two authorised representatives (a director and a senior management officer)

Supporting documents required

  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Latest Section 58 (particulars of directors)
  • Latest Section 78 (return of allotment of shares)
  • Latest Section 68 (annual return)
  • Latest audited financial statements
  • Company profile and Bursa Malaysia listing confirmation

Honorary Membership

By Invitation of the Council

Conferred by the FPLC Council on distinguished individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the capital market, corporate governance or the growth of Malaysian PLCs.

Eligibility criteria

  • Recognised standing in the corporate, regulatory, academic or professional community
  • Demonstrated contribution to the advancement of Malaysian public listed companies
  • No annual subscription payable; honorary members do not hold voting rights

Supporting documents required

  • Written nomination by a member of the FPLC Council
  • Curriculum vitae and record of contribution
  • Endorsement by the Council at a duly convened meeting

Individual Membership

For Directors & Professionals

For directors, C-suite leaders, company secretaries and professionals serving public listed companies who wish to participate in FPLC programmes in their personal capacity.

Eligibility criteria

  • A director, senior executive, company secretary or adviser to a public listed company
  • Holds a relevant professional qualification or equivalent industry experience
  • Subscribes to the FPLC Code of Conduct; individual members do not hold voting rights

Supporting documents required

  • Completed individual application form
  • Copy of NRIC or passport
  • Curriculum vitae or professional profile
  • Letter of confirmation of position from the company (if applicable)

Note: A newly listed company may submit its Section 14 together with its listing confirmation in place of Sections 78, 58 and 68.
